Do I need to sign up in advance, or can I just drop in? How much does each class cost?
Kundalini yoga classes are "drop in," however other yoga classes and workshops may require advanced registration. Where registration is required for a class, it is specified on the classes or events pages.
Regardless of the class that you choose to attend for the first time, it is helpful for you to come to class a few minutes ahead of time to introduce yourself to the instructor, and let them know it is your first time. This is especially helpful if you have any health challenges about which the instructor should be aware.
Classes are priced at $10/class, but trade for volunteer or "seva" is possible. Talk to your instructor about seva opportunities. The first class is $5.

I have some health challenges. Will I be able to do this kind of yoga?
Modifications are available for nearly every posture. The only way to determine how comfortable you will be doing this yoga is to just do it. Please be sure to arrive a few minutes before class and approach the instructor with your concerns and let them know that you would appreciate being shown any modifications that are specific to your health challenge.

What should I wear to class? Do I need to bring a mat?
We discourage sequined dresses because they can get itchy... ;-) Comfy, modest, exercise clothes are the best. Because yoga can go from being very aerobic, to very still and meditative, it is best to layer so that you can remove layers when you are active, and put them back on for the deep relaxation/meditation at the end of the set.
We encourage you to bring whatever props will make your experience the best it can be. Some people prefer to practice on a mat because it defines the boundaries of their personal space. You can bring your own mat. We have a few mats, wool blankets, and blocks. We currently do not have any straps.
